Blair Community Schools is seeking a dependable and hardworking Part-Time Custodian to join our maintenance and custodial team. This position is approximately 20 hours per week and is responsible for helping maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Position Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain classrooms, offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize assigned areas.
• Empty trash and recycling containers.
• Clean and maintain floors and other building surfaces.
• Assist with setting up and cleaning up areas for school activities and events.
• Report maintenance, safety, or security concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Follow established cleaning procedures and safety guidelines.
• Perform other custodial duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and detail.
• Ability to follow directions and established procedures.
• Ability to safely perform routine custodial duties, including lifting and moving supplies and equipment.
• Previous custodial or commercial cleaning experience is preferred but not required.
• Must be able to work effectively around students, staff, and the public.

Schedule

Part-time — approximately 20 hours per week

Work schedule and hours will be determined based on school and building needs.
